Overview
The Ironclad Fullcourt FCH664-XL is the perfect goal for those looking for a clear view down sized backboard without sacrificing durability. The 42" tall x 60" wide backboard is the same height as regulation NCAA and NBA backboards, but only 60" wide so it will fit nicely in driveway applications or downsized backyard courts.
The 6"x6" x 7 gauge steel post is thicker than those commonly found in similar large sporting good chains giving you a more stable basketball system from the ground up. The post has a plate with eight gussets welded to the bottom of the post which allows the unit to be installed via four anchor bolts supplied with the goal system embedded in the concrete. Anchor bolts allow the unit to be installed perfectly level and removed easily if you sell you home and want to move the goal. The easy to reach crank adjuster moves the backboard and rim up and down from 10' to 5'. Ironclad's steel perimeter frame supports the glass all the way around the outside of the glass and a has a rim support built right into the frame. This gives the backboard excellent durability and clear view without any visible support structure behind the glass. The easy to read height indicator shows the height of the rim as the goal is adjusted up and down.
This basketball goal is covered top to bottom by Ironclad's Limited Lifetime Warranty which covers any damage caused by any kind of basketball related activity which includes hanging on the rim! Pole, gusset and backboard pads are included free. Also, don't get stuck paying for anti-rust undercoat, Ironclad's WeatherShield rust proof undercoat protects the metal from corrosion and is included free with your purchase.
Easy Adjustment: The easy to reach backboard height adjuster crank handle easily changes the rim height anywhere from 10' down to 5'.
Spring Assist: Double spring cylinders mounted on
the back of the post make the backboard as light as a feather to crank
up and down, so any age player can crank the unit without breaking a
sweat.
Thick Glass Backboard: 42" tall x 60" wide, uses
1/2" thick glass which is the same thickness used on NCAA and NBA
backboards. This guarantees perfect ball bounce off the backboard every
time.
48" Offset from Backboard to Post: Official
basketball court regulations specify a baseline to backboard distance of
48". This unit is designed to meet this specification.
Heavy Duty Post: 6" x 6" x 7 gauge post is thicker and more rigid than those comparably priced competitors models.
Heavy Duty Flex Rim & Net: Superior spring
design, ensures weather proof long lasting performance with a soft
breakaway feel and net attachment design which is easy on hands and
increases net life.
Bolt-down Installation: Installation is easy with
bolt down base plate design at bottom of vertical post. The base plate
is further supported by eight gussets to add maximum rigidity to the
post. Additionally, if you sell your home, this feature makes it easy to
take the goal with you when you move.
Rust Proof Undercoat: Each metal component is
dipped in a bath of molten zinc prior to painting. This makes the metal
virtually impervious to corrosion. This treatment is included free with
your purchase. Beware of competitors who charge over $100 for this
feature.
Powder Coat Protection: Each unit has black powder coat paint for a superior weather resistance.
Stainless Steel Assembly Bolts: Assembly bolts
are all stainless steel to prevent bolt corrosion common among
competitors systems sold in big box chain sporting goods stores.

Additionally, it will be delivered by truck to your location and unloaded from the truck to ground level via an automatic hydraulic lift gate.

Very pleased with the goal so far. Instructions were fairly easy to follow and overall setup was easier than expected. The majority of my time was spent digging the 48" deep hole (24x24" width) and filling it with 27 bags of 60-pound concrete! Also, I highly recommend taking a picture of the bolt package with labels before you open it. Mine tore open accidentally as I opened the box, causing all the bolts and nuts to fall out on the ground. This made it much more difficult to figure out the labeling system. Would also definitely recommend 3 adults to place the heavy backboard on the frame. We lowered the goal as far as possible and stood in the back of my truck to keep from using a ladder. You need 2 adults to hold the backboard and 1 to place the bolts through the designated holes. My 3 boys are very excited and can't wait to start using it this basketball season!
